Biography

Simona Gaidam, born Predut, is a romanian violinist who performed and perfectioned her career in Romania, Austria, Germany and France. After winning more than 20 violin competitions during her early studies, such as Giovanni Talenti, Italy (first prize, 2006) Garabet Avachian, Romania (first prize, 2008), Simona Gaidam made her Bachelor Degree at the Music University in Bucharest, Romania with prof.dr. Ioana Croitoru. Simona Gaidam continued her studies at Kunst Universität Graz with the well known violinist and teacher Silvia Marcovici. After a solo master, she graduated her studies with an orchestra master at Robert Schumann Musikhochschule Düsseldorf, Germany, at the class of prof. Ida Bieler. 

While living Germany she played in top orchestras like Dortmunder Philharmoniker, Staatstheater Kassel, Landestheater Bayern and Frankfurt Opera. Being part of these orchestras, she had the chance to accompany amazing artists like: Frank Peter Zimmermann, Maxim Vengerov, Janine Jansen, Arabella Steinbacher, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Gautier Capuçon, Mischa Maisky and Pablo Ferrández-Castro. 

In 2021, Simona relocated to Grenoble, France, where she held the first violin solo position at La Fabrique Opéra Isère and Orchestre Symphonique Universitaire de Grenoble for three years until 2025. During this period, she served as concertmaster for numerous concerts and renowned festivals, including the A Travers Chants Festival and the celebrated Berlioz Festival.

Currently, Simona teaches violin at the Grenoble Conservatory, directs her own private violin school, and maintains an active performance schedule, regularly appearing in concerts and recitals. As an accomplished violinist and dedicated violin instructor, she continues to share her passion for classical music and violin performance with students and audiences alike.

Prof. Simona Gaidam is teaching violin in Grenoble area since 2022. A dedicated teacher as well as performer, Mme. Gaidam has been actively involved in the training of young violinists for over 8 years. She runs a private studio in Grenoble where she imparts the artistry of violin performance to young talents starting from 5 years old. In the same time Prof. Simona Gaidam is teaching violin at Conservatoire de Grenoble. She helps both children and adults learn violin from scratch up to music university admission exams.
